no button to open trunk from inside??

So a friend of mine lives in South America, he has a e90 318i 2010 sedan and he left the keys in the trunk...

well he broke the window to be able to open the car, when he was telling me that he cant open the trunk, i asked for the button on the side of the door and he said the car doesnt have one... (finally he got the other set of key and opened)

so, how in the hell can he open the trunk from the inside of the car? any ideas? there is any other button on this cars?

If only there was an owner's manual where page 32 would say there's a switch in the glove compartment.

If you have a an sky port into the trunk you can pull the lever to open the trunk from there.

Can't he use the release button on the exterior? Built into the trunk-lid handle.

Not sure thought, it seems 318 owners get screwed, all US cars have a release button.

this is true!

Some regions have standard options but if you get a BMW outside the USA and/or Europe everything is optional. This is why you see many BMW 5 series and 7 series as taxi cabs in Europe and Asia.

You think those come equipped like a USA 5er. No.

You start with cloth seats, 4 cylinder, manual everything (even roll up windows bro) and work you way up the option list to get the BMWs that we see here in the USA.

Do these not have the button build into the trunk handle either?
