Fuel-It TBI problem

Hi all,

So I know it's not the most common fueling solution any longer but I still have a TBI kit. I just swapped turbos/inlets and so I took out most of the stuff in the engine bay for maintenance and room to work.

Now, the solenoid for the TBI is sitting right next to the starter. It actually touched it and sparked a few times after the car was put back together.

I was hoping someone has a picture of how they were able to align/rotate the solenoid and fuel line so the line still fits but the solenoid won't hit the starter. I wasn't able to find a pic of this anywhere.

Thanks,

I can snap a picture of my setup when I get home later this afternoon.

Sorry about the picture quality, its the best I could get without removing the charge pipe.

There is around 3-4mm of space between the solenoid and starter. It's a shame this solution was discontinued, I barely had to adjust my tune and this system does 22 psi( full e85) without dropping the fuel pressure below 2k psi.

Thank you for the pic. I was able to get mine adjusted to be similar to that.

I agree, it really is a shame because it's a great solution for those that want a little more fueling but don't need a full out port injection setup. I'm running 500whp on 93 only with this and a stage 2 pump no problem

install difficulty isn't as hard for PI either and the fuel is injected into each individual cylinder for more precise air fuel ratio. If you don't mind risking a cylinder going lean or to rich then the TB Injection works just fine. For any car pushing serious power the TB injection is not good at all with big power. I personally would never run TB injection, to me the risk just isn't worth it in the end.

Even port injection has its own issues where it'll still throw fuel into a cylinder that was turned off by the dme for a cylinder misfire, but when pushing 600+ hp it's the best alternative outside of the vargas double shotgun setup.

I just got a good deal on a TBI kit (used of course). I am stock turbos and just looking at maximize 93, E40, and E85 on my setup. Do you have any suggestions for the kit? what psi did you set yours at for activation?

If your that close, just relocate it with a whip hose.

You'll have to do some logging to find out what pressure the TBI needs to come on. On my current tune, the HPFP takes a nose dive when the turbos hit 13 psi so I have mine come on around 11 psi. I then made small adjustments to the tune to smooth things out a bit.
