Cool X4 aesthetics commentary and debate

That x4 rear end made me throw up in my mouth a lil bit. looks like a Subaru Tribeca.

The new X4 looks actually way better than the previous generation, at least is not just a mini X6. I like the new rear end

That's because BMW and Mercedes keep insisting on grafting sedan aesthetics onto the body of an SUV. It simply doesn't work, the proportions are just all wrong. Whenever I see one on the road it looks like an over-inflated mylar 3 series balloon you'd bring to a birthday party. Square peg, round hole.

New X3 looks great.

I like the design of the x4. I'm surprised people are shading it.

Yeah I don't understand, doesn't look really any different than the previous version. What's wrong with a "mini" X6M? The X4 is not so mini, just the perfect size for us! More maneuverable and not so ridiculously overpriced.

Just test drove the 2018 X4 M model, it was built like a tank. Sheer quality, we were pleasantly surprised! So much so it will be our next ride. I just hope we here in the States can (delete) the distracting and obnoxious panoramic moonroof.

Please explain to me why it simply doesn't work? Your statement just reflects your personal taste in automotive design not functionality and performance.

In my opinion, the X4 is a F31 with 8 inches of ground clearance and a lower center of gravity relative to the X3. An excellent compromise of functionality and performance.

Remind you BMW sold 200,000 of the first generation X4 and these "crossovers" are one of the fastest growing segments in automobile design.

To each their own i guess...

I've never experienced such discussion about a vehicle that no one was going to buy, no matter how great it looked.

Imagine this. If the rear end were less controversial, everyone would be up in arms about the lack of usable trunk space compared to the X3.

Additionally, if one liked the rear end AND didn't care about the diminished trunk space, then one would b*tch about the price premium over the X3.

I need to visit the 640GT forum. I wonder if there is as much ruckus....
