If it hadn't been a shooting, it would have been a stabbing or a bombing. The mere fact that the kid had access to a gun isn't why he chose to commit violence. This was going to be a dark day regardless.

The ability of the SRO to be armed and available to confront the threat is the only thing that limited that.

Oh I noticed that you said the newest bombing is attributed to the same person even though the authorities had not connected that. You also called them the unibomber... while the Unabomber is in prison.

No one's arguing that an SRO or any other law enforcement officer shouldn't be allowed to carry a gun. So that's not the issue.

You don't know if the kid would have bombed or stabbed his classmates if a gun wasn't available. You also don't know if the kid's intent was to conduct a mass shooting or just to shoot the two that he shot. Early indications are that at least one of the ones he shot he had a personal relationship with. What we also do know is that he chose to use a handgun because it was easier to kill with than a bomb or a knife.
