Traded 2015 M235i for 2018 Camaro
As some probably could have predicted, I have sold my '15 2 Series for a 2018 Camaro 2SS 1LE. I liked the M235i and it never gave me a single problem in 3 years and 10,300 miles. The luxury and quality were better than any car I had ever owned, by a lot. I'll probably miss the size most - it was just a perfect-sized car, nimble and super easy to drive.
But, soon after I bought it I realized it just wasn't the car for me. It wasn't racy enough, or aggressive enough. If it was an M2 it might have been a different story, but I'm not even sure about that. I've only had the Camaro for a week and 106 miles, but I already know it's the right car for me. It's a bad ass monster. Plus, it's surprisingly high tech. It's got a crystal clear color HUD, which I can't take my eyes off. The MyLink touchscreen system is more intuitive than the iDrive system (IMO), and certainly more flashy. Android Auto works perfectly, as does the iPod integration, etc. Plus Blind Spot monitoring, Cross Traffic alert, parking sensors, rear camera, Bose stereo, wireless mobile charger, eLSD, heated/cooled Recaros, heated steering wheel, etc., all standard. But you don't buy an SS 1LE for the tech - you buy it for its brute force. 305/30R20 Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar rear tires on 11" wheels. 6.2 liter V8. Brembo 6-piston brakes. Magnetic dampers. Tour, Sport, Track, and 4 different Race modes. And the warranty explicitly covers track use! I wish I could have kept the M235i for the sporty luxury car, but my budget and garage only allows one weekend car. And finally, I have learned a lot on the 2 Addict forums, enjoyed the discussions, and don't plan on going anywhere despite being an ex-2 Series owner.

I went back and forth between the ZL1 to get Z06 power but at the end of the day, just didn’t care for the ergos and lack of visibility. I ended up getting a 2LT Stingray. I do like that Chevrolet reduced the weight from the previous generation Camaro and it does look awesome. Congrats and I hope you enjoy it.

Congrats again!
I like I-drive more and the fact that you can control it with your right hand without having to reach forward to touch a screen, but otherwise, this Camaro is all over the BMW, it's an absolute monster and I can feel the weight advantage (over both the BMW and my previous Gen 5 Camaro). Right now it's at the shop getting the clear armor and the tint. Next is to put on the ZL-1 style side skirts I have, the catch-can and then I'll have it pretty much how I want it. Everything is drying up here nicely and it's a hoot to drive (and shift gears again!). The ride is great. I promised myself I wasn't going to listen to any salesperson and get the best suspension I could, this pretty much does it. It doesn't look anything like this anymore around here, all dry and the temps are coming up, will be able to put the summer tires/wheels back on soon.

Congratz, one my buddies just picked up an SS a few months and "modded" it a little. I've drove it a few times and its just soo much fun. Power whenever I want it, no turbos to worry about .

Congrats.
The muscle cars are certainly very enticing given their power for the price. I'm too hung up on interiors to consider them, but the latest Mustangs and Camaros seem pretty OK in that regard. |

The 6th gen interior is actually really nice. The stigma is just nonsense

I'm a fan of the Camaro but just a flash tune would have had your 235 hanging with that 1LE, your warranty is almost up too. Did you not consider that?
I've thought about trading for a Zl1 but want to see what a real flash does for the b58 - if it doesnt come in a year or so, I'm probably out too |

1LE and 235 are not even on the same planet. Average lateral G of 1.12.

Honestly (and this may be an unpopular opinion) but the american manufacturers are really knocking it out of the park lately.
Bought my first BMW in 2009, and driven nothing but up until last year. Wanted an M3 forever, i'd read the forums every day, look at pictures, configure them etc. My 435 lease was up last year.. and I just couldn't pull the trigger. I would look at the vettes or mustangs or camaros (not base models) and i couldn't justify the price of the M. This, after having absolutely loved both BMW's I had. Now, I find myself looking at the GT350R or a z06 or the ZL1 if i'm drooling over cars. In reality, it bums me out. My heart was set for so long on an azurite black M4, but in my humble opinion, it's just not worth it for what similar or less money gets you elsewhere. Kudos on the camaro. Beautiful car. |

A 1LE is a serious permance machine and bargain. I know one would destroy my F80 ZCP even with motor mods. |

Camaro is killing it!!!
I test drive the ZL1 1LE a couple weeks ago. It will be replacing the M3 in Nov. when my lease is up. I hadn't sat in a Camaro in quite some years and I have to say, GM has stepped it up. IMO, ZL1 1LE interior is just as quality as my M3. The switch gear and buttons all feel solid, the seats are soooo comfortably and the ride, while stiff, is no worse than my M3 now on Ohlins Coilovers. [

Yeah, I'm not really a fan of the gloss black wheel or wheel design look, but there are no other options for the 1LE. They do look better in person though
