**Important!!**

There is a $4900 multiple security deposit on this car. This is *not* the same as a down payment. If you don't know what a multiple security deposit is, please research it.

In short, I put down a $4900 multiple security deposit at the beginning of the lease to lower the interest payment. At the end of the lease term, the lease holder (you) receives a check from BMW Financial for $4900. Unfortunately BMW Financial will only return this check to the lease holder, so as part of this lease takeover, you will need to pay me $4900 to cover that. Is the payment before or after taxes? What is the residual at the lease end? (assuming there was no MSD)

That is after taxes - I'm in CA so it's rolled in. Residual at lease end is 30,615.30. The MSD is $4900 so you would receive that back.
