Color?
I apologize, yet another color ?. Purchasing a 335i coupe soon. It will be a toy that is only driven in nice wx. My current car is silver and I love the color but, BMW silver seems to be a bit bland for my taste. Considering jet black. I am very meticulous about my cars and will put forth the effort to keep black clean. Still undecided about jet black/silver/space grey. Any owners of those colors care to comment? Leaning towards jet black/grey with aluminum trim. Hope to post pics later this summer. Thanks.

Dude, come on, you gotta be able to determine your own color. Get what YOU like.
My last Audi was silver, which was a great, sporty color that was easy to keep clean. Silver looks sharp on the 335 IMO. Good luck!

Dude, come on, just looking for some feedback. BMW silver seems more bland than many other manufacturer's silver. Just looking for opinions from those who have bought the colors I am looking at. Many will change their opinions after having lived with it for awhile. Dude! |

I think the coupe looks good in any color (except atl blue), just browse thru the pics section and compare it in rl at the dealer.
I'm all for gray interior, but with alumn trim, it looks bad imo. If you want a sporty interior and want the gray leather, try the gray poplar trim instead.

ugh black is so hard to keep clean and gets so frickin hot in the summer.
ive owned 9 cars in 10 years and 7 of them have been black. skip black this time. my advise, go red w/ beige or terra (dark wood trim) int or my personal fav. alpine white with coral red int and alum trim (very sporty). grey is such a bland looking interior color too IMO, so I'd try to skip that as well. space grey and red int would look nice too i guess but i hate the sight of a nice car that looks like a piece of stainless steel piping. BLAH! |

Space Grey is such a nice colour, especially with the red interior. I have Sparkling Graphite and red on my 335 and I regret not getting Space Grey, but when I ordered my car the model hadn't come out yet and there weren't any real colour samples.

Thanks for the informative replies. I will have to visit some local dealers and look at more color combinations. Really like space grey with black leather and aluminum trim. Such a nice car, it looks good in any color!

This is my 5th and last(I've said that before) black car. I have the Sapphire and it looks great, for the most about 1 day. Also the clear coat etches and hazes very easily if ANY bird droppings are left on the car for just as short time EVEN if the car has a good wax or sealant on the paint.

Jet Black is absolutely gorgeous. It is difficult to maintain but nothing looks better IMO. If you follow the wash procedures documented on this site you will minimize swirl marks. I have had my Jet Black sedan for a few months and don't notice many swirls but washing and drying do require extra care.

Sapphire Black Metallic is a good compromise. The metal flake is nice in the sun, and the black looks liquid in the shade. Sorry for the low quality pics.
Black is killer when clean You can sort of see it looks like a dark metallic gray Just wash the car and wax it, get a California Duster, and dust from time to time. It's not as hard as people make it out to be. But should it rain, the spots will show. |
