Nixon will do it. http://www.gsautosport.com/index.php...ntact&Itemid=3
I think they said they would do it for $80, and would need the car for about 1.5 hrs I have been meaning to get mine done there, just haven't had the time. |

Any downsides to using this CDV? What's the reason BMW didn't just do it this way in the first place?
No warranty voided issues / headaches you might get for it? |

i called nixon...they told me 100$ +tax....
and cg said 68 +Tax... i sent em an email a day later and prices were the same as when i called... even tho some members told me it was less..hmm im just going to go to the place with dkvby told me to.. it seriously takes 30mins to do and nixon and cg both said leave car there for 2 hours?!? i know cg and nixon are reputable but the time they quoted and price does not reflect what e90post members over the forum are posting (15-30min job)

CG only required 45 minutes tops to swap the CDV on my car. No idea where they'd get the 2 hours from. Keep in mind that paying cash would mean no tax.

^^ yea i usually pay cash and ask for no tax deal..but still the rate is high and the thing that really bugs me is the estimated time to leave the car there...
i work mon-fri 730-430... so i would need a frd to drop off my car there unless it is open saturday

I just got mine done in Toronto and it was a 15min job.. Doesn't help you but gives you an idea of the time. Thats 15min for car to go in and come out. job time was probably 5-10min and I paid WAY less then you are being quoted.
Those prices are almost stealership like... Mike |

Newbie question - What does does a CDV do ? ie whats the point or is it another one of those pointless mods to get just to say you did it?
