Talking VRSF 7" HD intercooler VS ARM 5" intercooler

Hello everyone

Just wanted to share my own experience with VRSF 7" High Density intercooler.

Last year I've upgraded my stock N54 intercooler with ARM stepped 5" FMIC and I wasn't satisfied with its performance especially after reading the IAT's numbers

However, I've decided to upgrade that intercooler with VRSF 7" high density FMIC & the same was installed earlier & after pulling the IAT's data log numbers, I was amazed with the day & night difference it makes over ARM, it draws a big smile on my face

Unexpected drop in IAT's temps & that led me to share my own experience with you all

The readings were as following:

ARM 5" FMIC
Ambient Temps = 46c / 115f
Boost = 15 PSI
3rd gear pull - IAT start @ 126F / End @ 147F

VRSF 7" high density FMIC
Ambient Temps = 45c / 113f
Boost = 15 PSI (same map & fuel)
3rd gear pull - IAT start @ 133F / End @ 123F

That's quite a big difference. Thanks for sharing. Glad I went with the HD one in the end as well.

The VRSF 7 inch better outperform the 5 inch. It's bigger. But the ARM is just a better bang for the buck.

I'd like to see a comparison of VRSFs 7 inch vs ARM 7 inch. That's a better comparison.

With that being said I am quite pleased with ARMs 5inch. Never had any issues with it and I'm running the same exact tune as you.

Well, VRSF 7" HD intercooler was really needed for the hot climate out there.

ARM 5" FMIC didn't work for me.
