M2 Factory Paint Thickness : pre-purchase inspection

Hello
I've recently had an inspection carried out on an M2 with prospects to purchase. The inspector advised, whilst very well presented for a 2016, the paint thickness was different on the Left and Right of the car as compared to the roof and bootlid.

RHS - Guard, door, rear quarter averaged 300 microns
LHS - Guard, door, rear quarter averaged 300 microns
Boot and Roof - 140 microns.

Does anyone know what is the average paint depth of the M2 in Mineral Grey ex factory ?

I know some components are aluminium, would this constitute for a differing paint thickness? ( concern being if accident damaged repainting the vehicle would result in inconsistent paint depths )

Much appreciated!

Moe

My AW 17 & my 19 HS M2C 4-5mil =100-125 mic. usually there's about 1-2 mil in the variance=25-50 microns 25.4 microns in a mil= .001". That seems way thick 300 microns = 12mil looks like some paint work may have been done. i have never seen that thick of paint from the factory.Make sure the gauge is calibrated. carl
