0-60 times
Does anyone else find it unusual that the 0-60 for the 35i went from 6.1s to 5.3s while the 50i went from 4.7s to 4.6s? I know the 35i got a 35hp and 30 lb-ft boost while the 50i got a 16hp and essentially zero torque boost, but that’s a huge jump for such a large SUV.
On the other hand, when C&D actually instrument tested the F15 models, the 35i did the 0-60 in 6s while the 50i was able to do it in 4.3s. So maybe the advertised V6 time is pretty spot on while the V8 might be underestimated. |

The 50i gearing didn't change quite as much from the F15, so maybe that is why there is a smaller difference. Just my best guesses!

If the G05 50i is not at least 1 second faster than the 40i I'll be really disappointed. It seems like very few people, if any, got a chance to drive the 50i at the press event. |

Yeah....I have a more detailed post on this somewhere, but I just don't see those power numbers being a reality. Maybe my prediction is wrong, but it doesn't add up for a lot of reasons.
