Smiles Per Gallon in an M
Am I the only one still in shock that they drive an M car? Every time I look at it I still can't believe it's mine.

Not an M, but every time I start the 540i, it brings a smile to my face.
And when locking the car and walking away, I always give it a 2nd look. |

I am still hopelessly in love with my 1M. It's so damn special. It's got this certain feel that's only found in M cars...it's why I have almost 90k miles on it. Too good to just "store" all about driving.

Even more so now that I got an E38 Sport to daily, this morning driving the E90 was pure bliss

I actually look forward to going to work on Monday's now...I didn't drive my M2 this past Sunday and that made the Monday morning commute that much more enjoyable. Never wanted to drive any car I have had more than this one!

My M2 is by far the best BMW I have owned. You can’t stop smiling from the time it roars at startup until you turn it off.
I am sure my M Performance exhaust helps make my day. |

Its funny, I have always wanted an ///M car and now that I've had for a while I sometimes forget that specific fact about my own Z4M car and how lucky I am that I finally achieved that dream. First world problems to one day be able to take for granted that which only a short while ago one lusted for!
I'm now working towards ///M #2 (M2 comp ironically !). But also trying to be realistic and very careful about spending money on cars as you never know when a rough patch is coming. Been eyeing P cars also but may have financially concluded they are just simply unjustifiable financially for mortal men like me! |

My 1M is way more enjoyable now that I've put so many miles on it. I know it's behaviour I know when something goes right and know when something is wrong.

M4's engine is not my favourite but chassis of M4 is top-notch at the moment.. driving different M cars more than 4 years now and i started to overwhelm from few things about M every time i see on the dash.. i never had an non-M BMW but i know their part prices.. i told here many times about "M Tax" from BMW to M lovers.. and i started to hate it.. yes some parts are totally different than non M models but some parts are the same.. and even with those parts BMW is asking %30-40 more from M owners just because of the VIN.. it started to feel like an official rubbery for me and started feel tired of it.. yes probably this problem of mine d be solved if i could afford a brand new M car for myself but i cant.. one day maybe.. for now only older M would be an E46 M3 for me.. that car is incredible even its not that much fast in todays standards.. |

Not nearly the same as having a true M, but I know my wife is getting tired of having to guide me through parking lots because I'm still staring back and smiling at the car.

I had a Z4m in high school, that car is an absolute riot and special, turned heads everywhere and I did some insanely stupid things in that car.

I totally agree. I own an E36 M3 to go sideways, with a big smile. A heavily modified E92 M3 to do track-days with a smile. And a M2 to go to work with a smile. In the weekend with the family in my wifes car I also smile but for different reasons.

i've had my ride close to 2 years now, and i smile every single time i see it. all the BS i've gone through, 2 stupid ass deployments, busting my ass at work in the military and as a civilian. the ride for me is a symbol of hard work paying off. especially because its a ride that i didn't have to settle with. i got everything i wanted, and the car is freaking beautiful.
and i also smile more when people are looking at me getting in the car as if it doesn't belong to me. haters make me smile.
