G86 M4 GC - could it happen?
I know they said no for F generation but still really hoping it makes it to G Generation. M4 GC with xdrive, leave the M3/M4 coupe RWD and offer GC with AWD that way I don't have to go to the X3M/X4M.
I have always loved the style of the gran coupe with the slightly larger cargo capacity, tailgate trunk (think it goes back to one of my favorite cars ever, Z4 coupe). Just don't think the M440i will be enough to satisfy me (and Audi RS5 sportback is looking blah). |

Plus, Audi did it with the S5/RS5 Sportback and thus far its been really successful. BMW doesn't necessarily like innovating as much with the fun model differentiation but copying for a profit is a must.

But I need more power than the B58 puts out. I had an F80 M3 and I loved the power. |

I read an interview and the additionally weight of the GC style tailgate was the reason given...in a world with the X5M
Let's see how it pans out.

Got a 430i GC as a loaner and am actually loving it. Hatch style rear opening is a huge plus. Would be amazing to see this as an M model

Not a fan of the current 4 GC so unless they make it look like the 6 GC I wouldn't be interested.

A M4 GC would be a game changer , it might effect the sales of the M3 though , especially if they plan on making the next gen AWD

M4 GranCoupe?
As cars seem to defy more and more of its original intentions, do you think BMW would come out with a M4 GranCoupe to compete with RS5 Sportback?

Hey BMW - if you are listening - please increase the headroom in the rear of the GC (even if slightly). I sat on the back seat of one and my head was almost touching the roof (I'm not even close to being tall) and the feeling was quite constrained overall. I sat Audi S5/RS5 sportback rear seat and it was perfectly fine.

I would order an M4GC immediately. Having had both a current 440GC M Sport and F80 M3, I can say I love the style and function of the GC more than the M3 sedan, but of course prefer the power of the M. An M GC would be the perfect car in the perfect size, for me.

Get an M3, or wait and hope for an M4 GC?
This is tough, ultimately I want a M4GC but no clue if it will even be made this generation, if it is I am guessing 2022 introduction.
My M3 is turning 4 this September, only 19,000 miles but the cost of extended warranty and maintenance seems pretty high and at the same time I couldn't see owning a high cost car like that without a warranty... So do I go for a used M5 (really don't want anything longer than 190" though) or a X3M, wait for new M3 (1 year?) or just extend warranty for something like 3 years and wait for M4GC Probably something in between, go for X3M now, keep for 3 years and hopefully M4GC is made. |
