Choice of BMW on the Autobahn?
I'm in Munich! I have the opportunity to rent any model BMW that I so please for a day. I'm struggling with the decision....it's not easy.
Do I go straight to the Supercar i8?! New M5?! M3?! A car I've always wanted... For context...I've had two BMWs. 04 ZHP and I currently own a 15 335i. What would YOU choose??? Btw this was in the museum...Im fortunate enough to be heading to the Paris Auto Show this weekend to see the new G20 in person! |

I would do either the M5 or M6 hands down! It was built for the autobahn!

I'd go with the M3 personally. The I8, although pretty quick isnt much of a supercar nor was it intended to be. Just a fancy hybrid. that being said it is still my second favorite BMW behind the M3.

M5 all day. 600hp, xDrive, relatively comfortable and spacious. Drive one at a BMW M test drive event during Monterey Car Week. Only had it for about 20-30 mins, but it's my current aspirational dream car.

Go M3 if that's the car you've always wanted. go M5 if you want to brag that you've drove the latest thing.

Nice! I'm actually going to BMW Welt on Saturday and renting the M6 Gran Coupe. On the BMW On Demand site the M5 was already booked out. However if I can get my hands on it, I'll make the change in reservation there. Also going to Paris to see the G20 as well!

Good luck getting the M5 - that would be my choice.
My Twin Turbo 135i was the best car I ever drove on the autobahn. You are going to have a blast. Enjoy!
