Fuel tank size - 68l or 76l?
On the European websites they all say 68l which is the same size as regular G30 petrol cars.
However on the American website it is listed at 20.1 gallons (76l) and parts websites also list 76l. Does anyone out there have an M5 with the connected drive app that says 76l when the car is full or have put in more than 70l into the tank?

Don't think you can fit 76liter man
I just put 19 gal times 3.78 = 71.82liters And I was almost dry ( which I hate driving this low ) there is no way you can add 4 more liters

I'm in the UK and when I got down to an estimated 19 miles range left, I got 67.82 litres in.
Based on my average consumption, I'm pretty sure to go 19 miles I would need at least 5 litres. As there is no way the fuel lines hold that much (1m of 8mm I.D. hose holds 0.05 litres), I would have to conclude the tank is more than 68 litres in capacity, probably at least 72-73 litres. There will then be a reserve built in as I'm sure we've all seen the reports of people who see how far past the "zero range" people can go in their cars and all seem to equate to around an extra 4-5 litres of fuel. I therefore conclude that 76 litres seems to be a realistic actual figure, with 68 litres being the figure given out when the gauge reads zero.

Thanks everyone. I've looked around for part codes and there is a single code for Euro cars, both LHD and RHD and one code for the USA, but all show 77 litres

Good shout on looking at the app. My app says there is 14 UK gallons (63.6 litres) left.
Since filling up, I've done approximately 30 miles in town traffic which I average at 15mpg (UK) = approx 9 litres used... bang on my 73 litre estimate above.
