How's your M5 do on gas mileage so far?

Just curious how those of you have an M5 or M5 Comp have done with gas mileage? Not that it is a big deal but wondering if the gas mileage is actually better than the BMW estimates. My M5 is at the port ready to go.

Out of town 95% of the time 25/26MPG UK, it's very good.
I never use it less than 20 mile trips.

Most of my driving is on rural country roads, and I can get an indicated 25+ mpg.. But, this only applies if I let it do the shifting. It's very aggressive in getting you up to 7th or 8th gear. Along with the 20 gallon tank, this ideally gives you a range of 500 miles.

If shifting for yourself, the mpg can be all over the place, but almost certainly less than letting the car do it.

18/22 UK MPG, mainly out of town on a mix of A and B roads, primarily B roads, this is on the commute to work which is 19 miles.

6000 miles on F90 so far
conclusion: 18 mpg with a happy face

I only drive it one way... MDM mode Sport Plus for engine throttle response. My average never got more than 14.6-14.8 MPG. Very short commute though 11 miles round trip and it's mostly city driving.
Driving style is 50% aggressive and 50% calm

I'm not sure how people are getting that 18-20 MPG without driving it like a 530 :P lol

If you get anything better than that maybe you chose the wrong car. A Prius may have suited you better.
