LCI Climate panel retrofitted, stock required for I-level update?

I've just retrofitted the LCI climate control panel including stereo and climate display.

I already have IHKA3 so just need to code the colour change.

I'm planning a software update at an independent in a few weeks. Can I leave the new panel installed for this or does the original need to be fitted?

What software are you having done and for which ECU module?
I would just leave it in, shouldn't make a difference.

If you have IHKA3 as you noted you did, should not make a difference.

Thanks both.

I'm having a full car I-step update via an independent.

I do have IHKA3 so it sounds like I can leave the new panel installed.
