First Error Message

Got my first error message on my 18.

Limited driver assistance and pedestrian warning.

Says I can continue driving but I have permanent limitation of driver assistance.

Anyone get this?

Cameras and sensors are probably dirty. If you have winter months happens regularly

Either that, or direct sunlight can disable it.
But from the second image, seems like hardware failure.

I had this happen to me and it went away by itself 2 days later. Pretty sure a few others have had this happen as well. Never happened again and no issues with these functionalities since.

I assume the front sensor for the pedestrian detection is the rectangular camera that's below the grille? Any other sensors?
I gave that a wipe but it was still showing error.

Not sure if it's just here in NJ, but with Christmas and New Years, first appointment is not until 1/7.

Driving around for a bit - error/notification went away. The green circle next to hazards went back to green (was orange).

Parked for 30 min, drove another 45 min. Never came back.

Gonna have to see if it returns. Strange.

My X5M did the same thing once. It was parked directly facing hot sun and it went away after 1 hour or so.

Ditto, same error appeared on the first day I was driving the car, but didn't reappear the next day or ever since.

No it's the cameras at the top of the windshield.
