Hitch receiver options
Anyone know if the factory hitch utilizes a different bumper with a cutout for the hitch? I have a 40i M package and exploring my options. Thanks

It uses a different diffuser panel with a cutout for the OEM hitch (pic attached). With the F15 it was the same, I did a Curt and it just fit below the bumper instead of needing a cutout which looked a bit cleaner I thought.

I can't locate it on their site. Did you select X6? Have a part #? Thanks

Ya if you get it from the factory no kick option, if you get it without the hitch you will get kick to open and word is the hidden hitch will allow you to still have kick to open and a trailer hitch, factory hitch it is in the way and requires kick to open to be coded out which is stupid BMW if you are listening - totally stupid. If you are in europe no issues, just the crap US hitch they couldn't seemingly figure out how to make both work.

I’m getting ready to put one of these on a X3. Seems like a decent option.

Thanks I've been in contact with them and they've sent me installation instructions. Seems like all these solutions require the bumper to be removed. Something I'm not a fan of doing. If anyone knows of any other solution, please let us know. I'm just looking to fit my 2" bike rack.
