What are the differences between 2018 and 2019 MY

Hi,

as some of you may have read I had a 2018 M5 that was crashed and just ordered the exact same car to be delivered in March.

Can anyone point me to the differences between the model years? I have found the door handles and Apple car play but is there anything else?

Depends on the production date, but not much. If it's not already begun, new instrument cluster (Eff Dec '18) production, NFC Door Handles, NFC Reader incorporated with wireless charging pad.

Fixed trim rings deleted. There will be a GUI change around the same time as M8 launch.

I’m Pretty sure that they deleted the trim rings in the 5 series already a few months back but not the M5.. I think they are keeping the rings for the M5 only .

And? Part numbers changed this month.

Emissions test F90 (for a market that changes in March).

6U3 BMW Live Dashboard Pro replaces 6WB - Digital Dynamic Cluster.

I don’t like the new 3 series instrument cluster, it looks to digital..good thing I have the rings! That backwards rpm gauge is terrible!

+1 I actually like the rings on my cluster - without them it would seem bland, and a stupid cost saving technique by BMW
