Update maps on NBT2 EVO?

Hey guys,

Apologies if this has been answered, but I've read a ton of threads and can't seem to find a definitive answer.

I have an 18' 440i and my maps are on 2017-1, with a NY regional OTA update of 2017-2. Seems hard to believe that NYC would not have a more recent map update.

Can I update my maps? I have esys, but I can't seem to save my FSC in order to generate a code.

Don‘t you have updates for free?
In Germany all BMW cars get updates for free for 3 years.
I thought that applies worldwide.
For that you need access to the Connecteddrive website where you can download the BMW Download Manager.

Yes, technically, but updates are OTA. My car says the latest OTA updates are 2017-1 and 2017-2 for the NYC region, which I find hard to believe as NYC is probably the busiest region in the country.

Download Manager is not available for download from the ConnectedDrive website.

But also the big maps (approx 30GB on a USB-Stick) (for example Road Map North America Evo 2018-4) should be able to download for free.

From where? They are not available from the ConnectedDrive website.

Just got another idea.
You can try it about the german connecteddrive.

https://www.bmw-connecteddrive.de/ap...Base_MapUpdate

There you can check the availability of the map update for your car.

Not available once it prompts for VIN

OK, then there is only the way about a dealer to buy the update or to download a non-legal way itself.

Although I do not understand why BMW does not offer this for newer vehicles in America.
