My first BMW that isn't a 3...

Just picked this up a couple days ago, loaded CPO 540i Msport with even B&W audio, rear seat ent, luxury seating, executive package. Had 9500 miles on it and sat on the lot for awhile but got it for about half off MSRP...

You have just proven that BMW's have high depreciation and best be bought used as CPO's.

Usually they lose 1/2 their value in 3 years.

that's a good deal, I was looking at CPO, but couldn't find one with my exact spec, so end up buying new and just ordering

I almost did the same thing, this was so optioned up I couldn't refuse. The only things I would've added were DHP(this was my biggest compromise here) rear seat heaters and sunshades
I don't think some extra new car smell and 9500 miles were worth $40K...

I agree, I'm probably going to get the extended warranty for 7/100K from GOLFRRR's dealership who has very reasonable prices....

Did something similar, brought a used approved G31 from a local dealer. Had more kit than I would have specced from new, 600 miles on the clock, few months old and 40% off the list price. I'll been keeping this car until the new 5 series is out (don't bother with LCI models), then I'll see what's available.

Lovely car. Enjoy.

What was the original MSRP of the car?

What was the final sale price to you?

Given most people are buying brand new with 10 off (my was like 12 off listed) depreciation hopefully isn't as bad...

I'm still trying to find the original window sticker but I believe it was around $83k. I got it for $45.5 prior to T&L as CA's fees are ridiculous. So not exactly 50% off. More like 45% off.

I didn't know brand new 540i's go routinely for $10-$12k off... Does that apply to ordered cars too or just off the lot? That might have changed the equations bit for me lol

Great price, man! I got $9k off of my 2019 M550ix. There were only two of those on the entire lot at the biggest BMW dealership in Houston. I didn't see very many at the other dealerships in the area either. I've had CPO vehicles before, you got a great bargain! Congrats on your beautiful car!

Wow, seems like a great price. I just did a CPO 2018 530xi with 8k miles. Original MSRP was 70k and I thought the 50k + tax was good but apparently not. Beautiful car!

My car is a year older though. So that has to be factored in

Another tidbit, we also have a G05 on order so the manager was much more willing to wheel and deal...

45% off from sticker was indeed an excellent deal. To be honest you must have a very good status with the dealer and sales manager because I never seen loaded CPO 540i go for that low. Normally that car doesn't leave the showroom for less than $57K-$60K.

Definitely drive the snot of out it. Enjoy!

That's more of a real world price. You can knock off another $5K from that asking price though...

I am not sure I agree with this 100%. Hyundai/Genesis is truly bad depreciation!

Tell me where I can get a 1 year old G30s with less than 10K miles for 50% off original MSRP and I'll consider getting another one.

I hope my car isn't jacked as it was advertised at $49888 at the start which was a bit lower than the most of the other local dealers. I hope it wasn't a lemon

All the panels did look original. It had original tires and no curb rash on the wheels...

I did find it odd that it was originally registered in NJ as a lease and then returned after just a year, went to auction, bought and then transferred to dealer lot where it sat for about another year. They did put several hundred miles since it arrived.

I shouldn't have looked at the carfax

No accidents reported at least...

Let me ask you this point blank: Did you put that car on a lift and had it inspected before you bought it?

Remember, a clean Carfax doesn't really much of anything. A physical inspection by a trusted mechanic is far more reliable than any Carfax report.

I know why you got it for such a great price! It's because they installed the front license plate bracket! Now that's a sin! 😂

It could have been a company owned vehicle or an executive demo.

Did they show you the APIS paperwork with the complete history of the car?

I don't not buy a CPO until that paperwork is fully disclosed to me.
