Considering selling 330

Bought 330 for the wife last year and it looks like she may need to get a wagon. Silver/black, sport, prem, auto, 10,000 miles. What's a good asking price? Thanks

hi, u really want to change the superb 330 saloon for a wagon? do you guys really need to load lugging ability of the wagon? the rapid depreciation so soon after buying the car last year would be painful for most folks.

hmm, maybe 35k to as low as 32k private party,
trade in maybe 27-28k, car max buy price.

for my 325/steptr w 9k, car-max price is 25k, saw exact same car at lot with asking price 30,900.

So, for your 330, add 3-4k more to include all your package options.

one thing about pricing is, price it well the first time, with room for a lower acceptable offer. And dont wishy washy with a prospect, with cash or serious offer in mind.

these are my guesstimates. good luck

Wow, that is surprising. I would have thought it would be worth $36-37k. Maybe I should think twice about selling. Thanks

I would advise that you do. The first year is always the worst year of depreciation.

Thanks, out of curiosity, how can you "customized" a new 330 for that price?

I doubt you will lose much money if you were to trade it in since its a well equipped 330i. I wouldn't trade it in If I were you though

I just looked on Carmax.com and saw a 325i with 16k miles selling for $37k. I'm sure you can get more than that for your car. Check other auto sites like carmax.com, cars.com, autotrader.com and see what others are asking for similar cars with similar mileage. Remember, BMW's typically hold their value very well. Another reason why we buy them.

Mine was Arctic/Premium/Steptronic/Alarm with no Sport for $37.4K. I could add sport package for another $1.2k, so it would be $38.6k. Now look at that price. Would anyone be willing to pay for a used 10kmile car for $1.6k cheaper? I don't think so. First, it's a used car. Second, it's 1 year-old, mean 1 year off warranty. Third, the wear and tear after 1 year.

Is that a new car price for a 330? If so, I don't know how you buy these so cheap? Can you buy these new for $3228 off MSRP? You mention adding sp. pk. for $1200 when invoice is $1455?

I have a friend that traded his '06 325i with Steptronic as the only option. He paid $32k with taxes and got $28.5 on trade. He purchased the new car $200 above invoice.

Regardless of what my car is worth, even at $200 over invoice it is still over $39k new for my 330. What I want to know what dealer would sell a car at $200 over invoice?

Back in Dec. I had the whole week off and was bored. i email a Subaru dealer in regard to the new STI and what I can get on the trade-in on my 330i. They offer me $37K for the trade and $200under invoice for the STI. My option was Prem, sport, Auto and the rear sunshade with 11Kmiles

It's not that the car is worth a lot less, as it is the fact you can't recuperate the taxes you paid on the vehicle.
