Got a limp mode the other day, but no CEL or SES light. Turned the car on and off and all seems fine. The other day, I noticed that when I hit the start button twice without turning the car on (i.e. turn on full power w/o turning the car on), that the SES light stays on. This is normally the point when all light turn on at first, and then all turn off except applicable lights (usually seat belt and brake only stay on at this point). Now, the SES light also stays on after all other lights go off; however, when I actually turn the car on, there's no SES light.

Does anyone know if this is normal? Any reason the SES would stay on with power on but not stay lit when the engine turns on?
