Thanks. Houston is definitely not anywhere near this storm. We are getting some showers off and on, but nothing much at all. There was a good thunderstorm and hard rain about 3 or 4 this morning that lasted till about 6am.
I love storms. I'd like to think if we do get a more direct hit this season, that more people will think twice before leaving this time. I personally will never leave. Board up the house and have a huricane party. It sure was great during Rita driving on the freeway and not having anyone else on the road. And seeing all the idiots just sitting there with no where to go. |

Thanks for your concern doc, houston is not affected this time (but we still have a long way to go with hurrican season). Dolly made a mess in corpus christy because it is on the dirty end of the twister...
Hahaha, i remember Rita when everyone headed west and got stuck on the hwy. I thought I was smart and I headed out east to Louisiana. Guess what Rita changed direction at last minute and when toward louisiana and really hit beaumont and lake charles pretty bad. Yup, i am going to stay in place this time and bunker down in my house and stock up on plenty of water and dry foods.

Pretty sure they released, if the cameras were rolling. His executive chef had some exotic 'food' flown in from Eastern Europe for the dinner meal. |

Thanks for your concern Doc.
Everything's A-OKAY. Houston hardly got anything yesterday (outlying areas to the S/SW got more than the city) a light sprinkle is all I saw at the office except a strong down-pour around 3:30. Woke up this morning and was surprised to see it was raining. It's been very dark and dreary all day. I enjoy it. Just wish there was more thunder and lightning. That's what makes this stuff exciting. |
