VANCOUVER MEET: August 3rd meet/cruise/eat

update: FOR those who are still up + early wakers,, there will be 2 meets. TIME has been changed to 12pm for the meet on Sunday @ QUEEN ELIZABETH park for those wanting to meet the Cali guys.. But for those who have work or cannot make it that early, ME92 has setup a Later time SECOND meet @ 6:30pm @ BCIT Richmond.. This will be mainly local guys and will be a fun photoshoot/chill meet.

C YOU ALL TMMRW LAH!

Here is my plan.

1.UPDATE Due to popular demand, it seems QE park will be our new meet up place. Map below for those who need directions. Time of the FIRST meet up will be @ 12:00PM!

2. Meet & Greet until most of the members arrive. Usually a 1hr - 1 1/2 hour process.

3. Depending on traffic/construction, we will have a cruise around Vancouver or somewhere new where roads are wide/and offer little traffic lights.

4. Photoshoot/chat for another 30min-1hr, before deciding who wants to eat + where to eat at.

Anyone want to meet at one of the many Jericho beach parking lots? Its a better view for photos, i just don’t know if they will be full at that time. Anyways, just throwing it out there.

But can you do:

Birthcertificate + passport andn NO Drivers license?

definetly you guys should go to QE Park for the meet because of the view and huge parking lots. HINTS they just cut down the tall trees for a better view.

I've crossed lots of times, and don't recall them asking for a driver's license when you have a passport. You sure?

To travel into Canada by car and return, currently all you need is government-issued ID (i.e. driver's license) plus proof of citizenship (i.e. birth certificate).

By air you'll need a passport.

Sometime next summer, the rules will change to require everyone to have a passport.

Of course, one should not be driving without a license...

Just asking for trouble!

I was pointing out the fact that if someone doesn't yet have a passport but wants to cross, they can still do so, as the new rules don't look like they kick in for another year that would make passports mandatory.
