Decoding for no-dazzle hgh bm
My window sticker includes this line item:
Decoding for no-dazzle hgh bm Looking through some other forums I discovered this means some features of the LED/Laser lighting in X7's equipped with this capability is disabled for the US market. Has anyone tried enabling these features by recoding their X7? Can it be done? If so, how? I'm getting flashed a lot because these laser lights must look very bright to oncoming traffic, even the low-beams. |

The laser capability is something like 750 feet and they are turned down to 250 feet. And or meters i don’t remember exactly . Don’t remember exactly. But without being able to recode laser lights they are only a cosmetic adder here in the USA.

Euro lasers are rated for 600m whereas US lasers are rated for 300m. The antidazzle is the feature where when the laser HB are on, they will shine around an object coming up on you, and not on. This feature is not allowed in the US but is allowed in Europe. Basically means you can drive with your HB on w/o blinding an oncoming motorist.

I should have posted this video explaining what this feature is as the replies (so far) are about the feature and not how to activate these features here in the US:

There's been a lot of discussion on the X5 board about this feature. So far no one has been able to access the module which controls the laser lights to code them back to euro spec. The only coding I've seen is to disable the auto stop start.
To be clear, the coding that would be done would be the no-dazzle when the high beams are on. If you're getting flashed now, it must be because the standard lights are so bright they look like HB. The anti-dazzle won't fix that. The laser HB only kick on when certain criteria are met (which I can't remember but it's something like over 35mph). Otherwise it's just your standard HB. |

Great vid, man. Had no idea it worked like that, with the tunnel effect, being able to keep your high beams on while following another car, etc.

They can be just like the EU X7s.

r33_RGSport can code the anti-dazzle lights. I just took delivery of my X7 today and will be contact him to do the coding. He needs you to get a ODB II to ethernet cable, and he will use teamviewer to remote into your computer and do the coding.
So far this is the only way to enable the anti dazzle headlights. bimmercode and other coding tools can't do it and have no plans to add that functionality (according to the developer). |

Great. Thanks for all the info guys. I'll make sure to get that cable before my car comes in. Looking online there are a lot of them and many with quite poor reviews. Is there a place to get one to make sure I get a good one. I surely don't want to screw anything up.

Ben did mine.
My LED headlights, in automatic mode, now automatically adjust for oncoming traffic, cars in front of you, etc. Just like the video. Its a little odd driving around with the high beam indicator on with an approching car, but i haven't been flashed once. |

I had to revisit this thread, as my build also lists the standard no-dazzle decoding. Had to remember the difference between the USA "no-dazzle" and the rest of the world "anti-dazzle" that is so cool. (and functional for those of us that live a little more rural) That's a lot of dazzling talk.
will have to have r33_RGSport code for me |
