UPDATED W/ Pics! Help:which brakes do I have?
So being that I got my car in November, this is going to be my first time changing the brake pads on my 2015 335i X Drive M sport... problem is, BMW has so many different types of brakes, I'm not completely sure which ones I have. I've read threads on the forum which have only confused me even more...
some say even tho it's an M sport vehicles can come without M sport brakes. It's really giving me a headache. So I'm looking for some quick verification. Rear pads need to be changed and I want to do it quickly before i cook my rotors.. which I may just replace as well. Fronts have 3,000 miles left before I have to change those. So i have attached two pics.. the front caliper and a pic of the rear caliper. Can someone please tell me which type of brake I have?! m-sport or non m-sport Also, Thinking of getting the Hawk 5.0 pads for the replacements.. is it best I go with a non slotted/drilled rotor to avoid brake noise or can someone recommend a cheap aftermarket drilled and slotted rotor that's close to as quiet as OEM. Thanks gentlemen. Last edited by F30NFifty5; 04-05-2019 at 12:41 PM.. |
