questions about the recall
So my dealer finally has the parts and I m going to book an appointment to get the 2 recalls (blower motor and hardness)
here are the 2 question 1 Would they touch the software in any way , my car is tune for the 3 stage intake and headers , so I do not want any updates. According to the receptionist they should not tough the software but I just want to make sure 2 would I get charge more labour for having them remove the 3 stage intake instead of the old one ... thanks guys |

no, they won't touch the software.
they remove the alternator to service the PCV heater harness. it's less work and consumables than pulling the intake. I took my 3sim converted e91 in for both and got it back just as it was, except the incorrectly installed drive belt. |

it squeaked like a mother the next morning. visual inspection showed it installed one rib off the alternator and power steering pullet. Alternator ate belt material.
was a clusterfuck to get the dealer to do a damned thing about it. service adviser ignored me, and my messages, for 3 days until I demanded to talk to the GM. pop the hood before you leave, make sure it all looks right. |
