X-drive coilovers
What is really the difference between a RWD version of a coilover and a X-drive version? Obviously the ride height is different on the cars, but if you're going to be lowering it anyway, what's the difference?

What model is your car? Usually the front right strut is different. The bracket for the control arm for the sway bar is different from the left strut.

They use different length sway bar links and there should be a difference in how low the coilovers allow you to drop the front. Nothing else really. Plenty of manufacturers use the same parts between the sets and then may change the damping and springs by a bit.

Nothing really. BC, KW, Bilstein, Etc all use the same shock body. They may differ in the calving and spring to account for weight up front, but thats nothing you can't adjust for in height or damping. The away bar endlinks will also be different between rwd and xdrive. Else all is the same.
