KW Street Coil overs 330i xdrive Sports Wagon

So...like the title says, I finally got around to installing the KW Street coil overs and BMW 624 M Wheels on the Wagon.

Thanks to Thompson BMW Performance for performing the work. This is becoming a great option when I can't drive the M3.

More pics to come with the drop & new wheels.

Congratulations on selecting KW Street Comfort coilovers. I've had these before and the suspension behavior was transformed while retaining enough comfort for daily driving.

How many clicks did you select as a starting point?

PS. Great car, especially the exterior color!

No rubbing & it's gonna sound crazy, steering seems more responsive, sharper and less dull.

Ride height looks perfect. Did the ride become bumpier being lower to the ground or has it actually maintained comfort?

Mlev...actually the KW Street's do a nice job of absorbing bumps. What makes the ride a little harsher is the 20x35 RF Pirelli's(horrible).

I do have to say though, everything from turn in, push is sharper and better in every way. In addition, the Dinan tune before felt like it was mismatched to the car due to the sloppy suspension. Now the Tune & Suspension are working together.

A lower CG and lower profile tires would certainly have those effects. Albeit with a slightly harsher ride, most likely.

So...a follow up to my last post. The bottoming out issue I was experiencing was due to somehow KW sent the wrong springs (spring rates) for this car. Yes...you read that correctly! The street comfort set up I ordered were intended for F31 , but somehow, someway they gave me the wrong springs.

Fast forward 9 days later. My dealership documented the issue & shared the concern w KW. KW is doing the right thing and correctly handling the issue and has replaced the springs.

I got the car back last night and it is a night and day driving exp. I know longer experience a loud thud/boom when I go over an uneven road seam where two different road materials meet.

Thank you KW for recognizing your mistake and taking care of the issue!
