Chime in if you have switched from a BMW to a Tesla
I’m looking to get my wife a new car soon, and I’m looking for some feedback from Tesla owners here.
As electric cars grow in popularity, I’m wondering how those who’ve switched from a BMW feel about their Tesla. Thanks, DMAX

We have a volt and bmw. Not the same, I get that, but I can tell you that while my car is way more fun, hers costs next to nothing to operate (tos charging at .02/kWh) so it becomes the weekend chore machine.
My x2 m35i is more comfortable on trips and gets 30mpg hwy so anything beyond the 50-60 mile range of the volt and we take it. |

Can't really drive it hard on the street without quickly getting into the dangerously and illegal speed range. It is an awesome and fun car when I drove one at Thermal, but on the street, it was just too hard to push it. And it was difficult to carry on a conservation in the car when my kid and wife sat in the backseats due to the tire noise level on the freeway.

I cant imagine it would be any worse than an M2, and I have no issues with mine. I haven't really thought about it or noticed it was a problem |

It could be the way the 405 and 5 freeways are paved here in So. Cal., but it is hard to carry a normal conversation in the F80 when traveling at 75mph+ on those freeways. The fake engine sound also didn't help, but I did code that off fairly early on. It's not a problem if the speed is lower or if I was on normal road surfaces.

My uncle switched from a 640i gran coupe to a Model S a few years ago. Now he's on his second Model S, he raves about Teslas, he doesnt plan on driving anything besides Tesla for the rest of his life.
