Help with question on exhaust tips 325 vs 330
Hello!
I want to add chrome tips to my car (2006, 325I, 4D) and read a thread that never quite ended...it said that the 330 tips are actually nicer because they are slightly larger. Look better. I found a web page that sells the left 330 (what happened to the right?).....parts 18307549558. I also found for sale BMW tips for the 325I (which is what I drive) # 82120398334. Nice but would rather go a slight bit bigger if I could?? Any one know if I can put the larger 330 tips on my 325? If so, do I want right or left or what? Thanks!!!!!!! Any info WELCOME! ---Be easy on me and talk S-L-O-W! Girl here...not sure what I am doing other than trying to make my car look a bit better! |

what site did you find the 330i tips on that supposedly only sold for the left exhaust tip? cuz the oem tips are one and the same as long as youre talking about the same car. So given that, you should really just buy two of the same tips. Funny they dont come paired tho...

On the 330, one tip is shorter than the other. That's why there's a left and right.

Phila--also-from what I am reading..the LEFT does not have the "valve" (not sure what that means). Any 325I users would want the "valve free one". THANKS for the info on the two different lengths! I didnt know that either.
I found Circle BMW (NJ) on the net (I tried to find the best price on these suckers and found just one other web page that was $10 less, HOWEVER that web page did not say if it was the L or the R tail pipe cover so I figured to be safe, pay the $10 extra and get the one from the web page that states "Left".) ANYWAY--Circle BMW has LISTED on the web page the info below: 18307549558 E90 E91 0.1 Chrome Exhaust Tip -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- outlet without valve (parts: 955"9" is with the valve) More Info List: $ 74.23 * Sale $ 55.67 * They actually stated it could be for the E90 or E91. Cant get better than that! TWICE as much as the E90 ones.....$50 vs. $100. Oh well. Only going to do this once....They had matte also for $32 each...but...I wanted the sparkle! Thanks guys!! Really APPRECIATE IT! |

yea, get two 330i left tips.
they look better than the 325i tips as the 330i tips go all the way back to the muffler and are held in by an internal clip as opposed to an external screw.

Thanks JF. I will --I will also be posting a pic with BLUEBATS amber outs for the front lights (smokes out the amber color). They are "in the mail" and the BMW chrome 330 tailpipes are also shipping....will post by Sunday at latest! COOL.....I love it that you "care". Cool!
Not bad for a girl? Huh?....Yah.....Not too bad

UDATED!!!!!!!!-----------PIC's as asked!
Fit perfect (330's on the 325) no screws to tighten just slip right on! WOW!!!! BIGGEST difference!!! Enjoy! First two shots are "BEFORE"---middle is my CF Roundel so someone can see it on Spark Graph. Last two shots are "official" BMW chrome 330 exhaust tips on my 325I. Literally 10 seconds to apply!! The pictures do NOT do it justice....this was REALLY needed! Cheers! NO COMMENTS ON MY STUPID RF TREAD!! I know, I know.....get new tires!! I hate those RF! Every 18K miles....are you kidding????

THANKS!!!!!!! VERY PLEASED for a Benjamin Franklin. The 325 ones are half (1/2) the cost, but if the 330s are nicer, why not?
Yes--two left. Left are valve free. NO idea why I was to order "valve free" (or even what a valve is when speaking of exhaust tips). The BMW dealership I ordered them from also said to get "two left tips" and that they (330's) would fit my 325I. THEY SLIDE RIGHT ON!!! Cool! ** I am just personally wondering why I bought a car just under $40,000 and it had crapppy exhaust ends? Are you kidding me? From what I read, the new 325's have chrome tips. Figures.......oh well......but really. Come on. Easy enough to fix at least.....
