Hey BMW-How about Off Road Package similar to X5
Looks like there might be a market for it. Mercedes is putting into production the GLB concept SUV. Porsche Macan, new Honda Passport, Ford Bronco...Scout..etc. Kinda leery of taking $80K plus X5 into the wilds; plus I like the X3 size.
Off-road Package $3,950 Designed for adventure, this suite of features perfectly complements your vehicle's muscular persona and is displayed in the instrument cluster via its own special graphics. Rugged underguard elements at the front and rear, a mechanical differential lock, and four xOffRoad driving modes (xSand, xRocks, xGravel, and xSnow,) activate the right settings for the vehicle’s height, xDrive system, accelerator response, transmission control, and DSC system’s corrective input to deliver the ideal ride on a range of surfaces. It would be nice to have, but I don't think anyone really buys these cars to actually go off-road with them. If I was going to do any of those terrains I'd rather have a vehicle made for it with the correct tires.
Although, that would be interesting to see an X3 in mud tires lol. |
