Automatic Sun Roof Closure
Has anyone managed to get this to work?
It is supposed to close if it detects rain or after 6 hours of being left open. Sometimes I see an error about it on the dash when I open the door to get into the car, which disappears quickly. Despite being switched on, it does not close after 6 hours. I am not brave enough to see if rain triggers it. |

Settings-> Doors/Vehilce access-> Automatic roof closing (It should be the final option on thr scroll menu).
I think it has to be fully open as opposed to the tilt position and then after 6 hours it closes to the tilt position or sooner if there is rain. Thanks. |

Maybe it's an AU thing... they have all those critters that want to climb in the car to kill you there. They should make it available here in the US for Florida at least. 🤣

Same here in SK . I have it in mine X5 . Unfortunatelly , I come to know, when it starts to say everytime I enter my car "Rain closure not possible ". It is not possible to even manually operate sunroof . After one week !!!! My car is one week old ( actually few weeks more , whet it spends 6 week on boat from US, and then somewhere in EU ) and 300km !!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the update. Mine still does not work and now it jams when opening. I do not really use it as it is so hot where I live and opening it means basically cooking yourself. However something for them to look at next service.

Man, you guys are lucky you have that option. There's a few times I had it tilted, and closed it just in time for the rain. I wish the CD app would allow you to open/close all windows. The capabilities are all there, yet BMW neuters their options from country to country. I get that there's "regulations" in these various regions, but COME ON!
