PPF Recommendation

What areas do people recommend getting PPF on? I was thinking of going the whole front bumper and the hood all the way up to the doors. I probably do the mirrors as well. Any other areas? Also is it okay to the do the headlights? On my 911 you couldn’t do the headlights because it could delaminate the plastic on the housing.

I originally did the front bumper, hood, mirrors, front quarter, rear quarter and rear bumper. I then went ahead and had all the doors done as well.

Love the ease of maintenance and the added protection PPF provides.

Good luck

why would ppf delaminate the plastic on a headlight? 98% of headlight lenses are plastic.

Mine has Suntek Ultra on the whole car. Love it. Did all forward facing surfaces on last car. Your choice. PPF really protects it from rocks, bug guts, etc. Gotta protect the Nardo, baby.

On the 991's (latest 911's before 2020 models) have a special coating on The headlights that would sometimes peel when you needed to remove the PPF. It wasn't common but it happened and shops, including Xpel corporate, began recommending 911 owners NOT have PPF installed on their headlights.

OP should be fine though but I doubt he'd really need it since the 911 headlights are shaped in a more exposed way than BMW headlights.

What about the carbon roof, is it worth it to cover that?

Yes. IMO. Very expensive and could be scratched.
