Sunroof Opening

Hi all, I've searched through the forum and just haven't been able to locate any conversation regarding this issue.

My question is: can I open the sunroof all the way with just one click? What I've discovered is that when I click to open the sunroof, it opens probably about 85% of the way. Then, I need to click it one more time for it to open the rest of the 15%. Worst part is that I have to wait till the sunroof has gone through its entire motion before I can click again. It's not ideal.

Has anyone found anything in iDrive that allows the entire sunroof to open with just 1 click?

I don't know of a way to make it go 100% with one click, but if it makes you feel any better, every car I've owned (from several different makes) does the same thing — opens to 85% or so, because that's the optimal opening.

It stops in "comfort position" (it's called that in the manual) with one push to get the least wind noise and buffeting. If you push it one more time to open it all the way and leave your windows up, don't complain about noise, it's all on you

My 2011 highlander does the same thing. Maybe it is some sort of US safety rule.

It's to reduce turbulence and resulting buffeting and cabin noise.
