KW Street Comfort coilovers, still a bit high?

Hi guys,

Short introduction. I'm Wouter, I live in the Netherlands and currently have a BMW F36 440i, fitted with M-Performance Power & Sound kit, M-Performance LSD and some other goodies.

2 Weeks ago, my tireshop fitted KW Street Comfort coilovers to improve handling (the standard M-Performance shocks and springs were rubbish) and improve looks (less wheelgap).

Handling is greatly improved indeed and so are the looks. But at the rear, it is still a bit too high. Still a bit too much wheelgap to my liking.

According to the tireshop, they already took the lowest possible setting of the shock.

I find it quite strange that these coilover won't go as low as I thought. I also have another car (Golf 7 GTI) fitted with KW Street Comforts and they go much lower.

Is there anything that we can do to lower it with another 1 or 2 centimeters at the rear?

Thanks!

I would verify that they fitted the correct part number. It's also very possible they did not install correctly.
I just had these coils installed on my 335i and there is barely 1 finger gap in the rear, and could've gone lower.

Garage List
Did they remove the OE spring cups in the rear (they're supposed to) or did they just put the KW spring top mount/height adjuster into the spring cups?

Earlier recommendations to verify all installation steps are on target. Very little to add.

PS. Great car. For all it's worth, the rear suspension looks perfect in my humble opinion as the tire / wheel well gap is equidistant at all points.

Good lead.

OP, if you have a jack pop the wheel off and take a photo in there.

Checking in to see if you managed to get the rear any lower on the Comforts!
