Minimum Pad and Rotor Thickness

My M2 is complaining about brake pads daily at 29,000 miles. I checked the outer pads visually and I've got about 9mm left.

What's the minimum pad thickness for the M2?

Also, what's the minimum rotor thickness?

Thanks.

9mm is fine but it’s worth checking the inner pad as well. It’s quite common to have more wear in the inner pad than the outer. This will require you to remove the wheel and inspect.

While you are there, the minimum rotor thickness will be engraved on the rotor in an obvious spot. I can’t recall the value off the top of my head.

9mm is a ton of pad. As stated, the minimum thickness is stamped on the rotor hat and should be easy to read - my fronts say 28.4mm

Ya - saw the 28.4 mm. My rear rotor had 22.4 mm. Now I need some calipers to measure.

Problem was a broken brake pad sensor wire.

Wondering if you know that thickness corresponds to the the beveled indent on the edge of the rotor? I had assumed that was the wear marker... maybe I need to grab a pair of calipers and check.
