Sidewalk etiquette question

Here's the scenario, would love some input. This sort of happened to me today, although I was just with a male friend of mine. It got me thinking as I do like to think of myself as a polite and chivalrous guy.

You're a man walking down a sidewalk with your lady. A woman is walking toward the both of you. There is a large tree causing the sidewalk to become too narrow for all three of you to pass, and you're going to get to the tree at the same time. Do you:

A) Stop yourself and your lady, allow the other woman to pass by the tree first, then continue side by side with your lady.

or

B) Stop yourself, let the two ladies pass by the tree, then rejoin your lady once they are both through the opening.

See, I think this could be dangerous if the other lady is somewhat attractive, as you're possibly communicating something unintended to your lady. This could possibly be my overly-analytical side coming through.

I have this come up often. I just place my hand on my wifes lower back and lightly guiding her in front of me letting the person pass. She know what it means, they aren't blind and realize the situation too.

I'd walk behind my "lady" (chick) until we passed the tree because stopping her will be a new discussion point later.

This brings me to a larger point though. What is with mother fuckers not giving enough room to a ninja, especially with kids. Just keep walking and I almost bump into fools. Maybe i'm not fat enough to get some space?

Especially when i see some kid walking, i move out their way out of kindness. Try not to get too close. Nowadays, when i'm walking with my kid at the mall or some shit, i put them on the slow lane and me in the passing lane and i don't move for shit if i'm on my side of the street. I just let things happen.

What if it's a dude. Do you just ignore him and potentially bump into him to show your lady how "tough" you are? Do you let him pass as a nice guy (as that's what girls like anyways), or do you give him the evil eye to make him stop and let y'all pass?

This calls for option C: Carefully steer your less attractive lady into the tree and proceed in the other direction with the new, more attractive woman.
