Turner Motorsport Carbon Intakes on M2 Competition
Yesterday I was able to confirm the M3/M4 S55 Intakes from Turner Motorsport are a straight fit on the M2 Competition.
The attention to detail is great, the kit came with all new hardware and took less than an hour to install with basic tools in my garage. Induction noise is greatly improved and it looks amazing. I will be uploading some videos with a timelapse install and also videos with some induction noise. You can configure this in multiple ways, matte finish, gloss finish, non carbon (aluminum) and you can opt for top lids or open setup. http://bit.ly/2HafC08

Looks nice, and honestly not a bad price. my VW intake cost just a tad less and was much less to look at.
I really would like to see before and after IAT readings on the same day for something like this. It looks the part, sounds the part (as you say), but does it give us those sweet sweet lower IAT that we all know and love? |

If I didn't just put Eventuri intakes on my car, I would have definitely looked at these. Looks very well made and good price.

Looks like a high-quality product, at a great price..
Silly question; could I get one without the "Turner" logo(s) |

The logo is pretty subtle, it's what I liked because it has their touch but it's not a white logo that screams at you.

Doesn't the M2C pull in from the lower bumper? I would assume those same ducts?

Like Dinan's intake offering, it utilizes the lower portion of the stock airbox, so it's channeling air as BMW intended but with a higher-flowing cone filter.
BMW did the same exact thing with some of their European-spec E Series Performance Intakes, so there is obviously a benefit to this set up. |

I mean, if it was a recognizable name like Dinan, I wouldn't mind leaving the manufacture..But with this oblivious merchant, I would have a million people asking me "What are those".. It looks like the name plate is riveted on, easy to get off with a drill bit and a flat head screwdriver. Then 91% isopropyl alcohol would dissolved that sticker, giving you that clean stealth look. A #FirstWorldProblem nonetheless because it looks like well-engineered product.. Good that they offer options on how you want to customize the intake set up or material. |

The lower intakes labeled above go to the front brakes, they are large enough that my friend and I could stick our hands in from either side and hold hands lol.
The stock air boxes take some air in from either side of the rads at the height of the kidneys. I talked to the Pure Turbo's EU rep who has a 800whp M3 and does 1km/1mile racing and top speed runs and he told us that the stock airboxes and filters flow the best. The only modification he made was to make an opening in the airbox so that it is not choked. The Eventuri setup actually lost him power for what its worth. They do sell some CF scoops that might help bring more cool air to the stock boxes Very pretty setup non the less! |

I think I mentioned somewhere else maybe not in the original post but these are using the stock air scoop that feeds the stock airboxes.
There is a scoop that comes from the front of the car, the filters are sitting right behind it. Quote:

Yikes, that's not good. I can't imagine paying a ton of money to lose performance.

Unless the intake is enclosed it's a waste of money. The exposed air filters pull in hot air from the engine. I've never understood why people get them as it's been demonstrated numerous times that they don't work. The ones the OP got are they way to go.

Thats why I never did Eventuri on my previous M2, I went with Dinan since it was an intake similar to the stock one but in nice carbon finish.

Made a video since I had many asking for sounds. I took some video clips of the install and sound. You can skip time lapse install and go straight to sound at about minute 2.
First induction sounds are with microphone inside cabin, second set are with microphone in the engine compartment.

- The original Eventuri and updated model leave the grill air scoops and tubes (or bottom of Airbox to direct outside air to the filter. - The updated Eventuri adds a new piece to improve the outside air flow and mitigate the hot engine air. Oh the Eventuri intakes are enclosed as well, atleast mine are. They hook up to the stock cold air ducts and are sealed from the engine bay air. Not sure what the fuss is about.

They have a beautiful setup, I think they main complain was always the numbers advertised were never proven by an independent tester and the price was pretty higher compared to all others on the market. But that's the beauty of having options! Everyone can pick what suits them best.
