Sunroof Mesh Wind Deflector Fix?
Howdy...
New here with a 2007 328xi Wagon. Here's the only issue I currently have with my new ride: The small mesh wind deflector at the front of the sunroof will not stay in the track. As soon as I hit 20mph or so, the force of the wind pushes most of it out and it just kind of flaps there and begins to whistle at highway speeds. I searched, but couldn't find a similar issue. Anyone know of an easy fix? the very end of the driver side stays firmly in place, but from about a quarter of the way across, it just won't stay put. Thanks in advance for any insight... |

Sorry for the delay, been a busy week...
I used epoxy, hoping that would hold. The middle slid out again, as you can see below, but the passenger end is secure. I pushed the center section back up and let it rest for the long weekend. So far, it's holding. If it slips out again, I may try adding a few strips of rubber or some strong gorilla tape to add some thickness to the small plastic rail. That should help hold it in place... |
