I'm not a fan. I've seen it up close on the z4. It will be flashy because it's bright, but doesn't seem special like LBB. Doesn't have the same metallic depth as Jaguar ultra blue. I'm a bit annoyed that the CS isn't going to have an exclusive color.

As commented before:
Latest BMW pictures of Misano Blue Metallic (BMW X2 M35i): see here (click on "Photos" for 4 sets of pictures). Compare the blue color tone of MBM with the one of the Bavarian blue color of the BMW logo under different lighting conditions. Bavarian flag (origin of the BMW logo colors): Misano Blue Metallic:

Yes, it looks good in direct sun and then awfully dull otherwise. I'll definitely need to ck it out in person.

I’m a big fan of blue cars but the color just doesn’t excite me.I was really hoping to see the M2 in Laguna Seca Blue or Estoril Blue before the end of the production run.
Artemis whatever happened to those special colors that BMW was supposed to build the M2 Competition in earlier this year? Here is a pic of the Z4 in Misano Blue that was at my dealer today. |

I personally think it's going to look absolutely amazing, especially with CF parts. Had a Misano Blue X2 as a company car and I really liked the color a lot. Has a surprising amount of metallic flakes.

I agree with your comments exactly. Thought it would look good but i saw it on an X2 and it looked not so great. Made me really appreciate my LBB.

I love blues like this because they play off black like no other color. As said a few posts above this will look great with CF roof, parts, black wheels, etc.

In September 2018 he reported that also two "Turbomeister" M2 Competion were scheduled to be built: 2 x Fire Orange II with some areas in Jet Black and "Turbomeister" mentioned on several parts (remember the Turbomeister BMW 2002 Hommage - August 2016) (same thread). No further update on those 'one off' cars ever since. Last March he reported that a San Marino Blue M2 Competition was scheduled to be built (see this thread - "Someone in US is getting a San Marino Blue M2 Competition"). Last May indeed an order for a San Marino Blue M2 Competition for US delivery surfaced (color quote: $24,480) (see this thread - "M2 Competition Individual Paint for $24k (San Marino Blue)"). And before you enthusiastically rush out of the door straight to your BMW M dealer with a suitcase filled with banknotes to order an individual color for an M2 Competition: think again, we're mere mortals, forget about it; kill your darlings, count your blessings and consider wrapping the car in the color of your choice. One of the three 3 frozen: "Turbomeister": San Marino Blue:

I'm surprised there isn't more love for Misano Blue. It looks close to Voodoo Blue that is all the rage among Porsche GT owners. Perhaps because people can't separate it from the X2? It will look incredible on the M2 CS.

I am guessing that seeing it in person will help a lot - really liked Porsche Chalk and the HS M2C after seeing them in person.
This color doesn't seem to photograph well - sort of "Easter Egg" blue in the pictures I have seen...but hard to say without seeing it in persona AND on the actual M2CS. Since this is the only "different" color that hasn't been offered on an M2 variant before, surely this will be the color on the CS when it launches. Do we have a better idea of when that will be?

Local dealer had a Misano Blue Z4 but it's not there anymore. In person it looks like a much darker shade of Yas Marina Blue that was very popular on the current series M3 when it was launched. It's very metallic but it can also look like smurf blue in certain light.
