JB3 + Code3/Spearco Intercooler - Awesome gains!

I did a few before and after data logs and noticed a nice reduction in IAT, around 15 degrees (30%) cooler at the top end of a long pull compared to the stock intercooler.

I also did a few dyno runs. As you can see the intercooler really helps the engine breath over 5000rpm, basically free horsepower. With the JB3 I was expecting 5-8rw peak gain so to pickup 11rw peak was a nice surprise, but at higher rpm I am seeing as much as 30rw more than the stock IC! Simply amazing!

Big thumbs up to Harold @ HP Autowerks and Brandon @ Code3, you have a winner here! r:

Not sure what to make of this since the fan size/air speed certainly plays into the formula.

If the typical dyno shop fan setup was used, then of course, one expects rather large gains if some element of the turbo system is offered greater cooling.

Simply directing extra air into the IC using a high velocity fan will probably produce similar gains, so it would be nice to have some more specs regarding the fans.

I would look more at the temperature drop than the dyno gains....

EDIT: Something to note is that the IAT testing was done on the road so it is real world testing. Also, Terry was saying that he believes most of the top end gain is due to the reduced pressure drop when compared to the stock intercooler....

You beat me to it I was about to post these same graphs...

Keep in mind that these runs were not fully adapted yet, so it would probably pick up a bit more power...
