3.5 hours?! I was thinking of watching it after dinner this evening but definitely can’t tell my wife it will go on for 3.5 hours.

I'm on the fence on this one. De Niro, Pacino and Pesci have been cranking out garbage the last few years.

I'm 1h into it and so far nothing original. Yeah, great actors, decent dialog, but it seems that Hollywood still doesn't quite understand that the time of expensive cast-focused productions is in its sunset. I can find cheap TV shows with unknown actors but more original stories that would entertain me better. And if we bring the kids into the conversation, they could watch 8h a day their own videos and videos of their friends on tiktok and maybe want to go to the movies twice a year.

Happy Thanksgiving!
So I watched it last night and I agree with the comments here so far. Before I even hit play, I had to double take the total time of 3.5 hours! I said to myself f it, and let it rip. An hour in and I was like mehhhhh nothing really happening. At the end of the day, I felt it was average at best. |

Watched it last night. Fell asleep for the last 30 minutes. Guess Scorsese is trying really hard to create another “gangster” movie. Many scenes seemed awkward, especially the one where Frank beats up the storekeeper. I cringed. The characters all seem misshapen, like robots or cyborgs. Al Pacino looked more like Silvio Dante from Sopranos than anything else. Did they just invite everyone along in this movie that’s played a similar role in the past few decades or what? Very cliche.
Goodfellas and Casino can be watched a thousand times. This one, once at most. |

At 3 hours and 30 minutes I’d say it was about 3 hours too long. Waste of time and talent.
