its a cool mod like the bov speaker thing for non turbo cars so they can have the bov sound... makes people think i have a big dog in my car and adds like 100hp at the same time.... probably only like the coolest mod ever!

to be honest i cant feel a difference and if someone said that they could feel a 5hp difference i think is nuts.....the car halls ass all the time so its really hard for me to tell if its just a bit faster ya know ? heading to Performance Outfitters Group tomorrow to plan out all the mods I will be doing as they have a mod friendly BMW dealership they work with.

do you have 29.2+ and hence does your car pop like a 'sumbitch when lifting throttle? Overall the Dinan sounds close to the BMW Performance Exhaust, from what I can tell, so I imagine it would react the same to a 29.2 car.

i believe its 29.2 i got the car about 2 weeks ago and it was built and delivered in august... idk what pop your talking about ... my old volvo s60r had very loud backfires/pops on shifting but that thing was putting down 25lbs of boost and almost 400hp. glad to hear that the exhaust sounds like the BMW one its about 100 bucks less and i was thinking about going with it but the dinan one is nice... i really think that the tip is like that for a reason... there is a small vent on the bottom side of it and i have a feeling once its nice and black inside there you wont be able to tell at all. not sure why they did it this way but the company puts out some nice products im sure there is a reason for this

call and ask them ... i dont wanna blow up there spot lol ! all they said was that they have a dealership (that im not going to name) that they do lots of work for and that takes care of people with cars built by them. ive experienced the same with volvo (i had an s60r)

and audi (a4 2.0t)


they always covered everything even blown diverter valves ever 5-10k ( i didnt wanna spend the money to upgrade) they just kept covering all the work so why would i pay?

But this dealership is kinda far for me if there is another dealership closer to Chappaqua NY 10514 that is mod friendly please let me know.

Not sure what you're talking about with the tips. I never asked anything about them or commented. If you are talking about a hole in the bottom of the tips, it's so water doesn't sit in there and corrode the metal.
Anyway, if the car is 29.2, you likely hear popping/burbling if you lift throttle in any gear (I assume you have a 6MT, otherwise, make sure it's in M mode so it doens't just upshift when you lift). Check out my thread for the BMW Perf Exh. and you'll hear it.

Sounds like an ALMS car on decell.
Done deal now so it's a moot point, but, the BMW PE can be had for many hundreds less than the Dinan. The $1800 is just suggested retail, which no one would actually pay (hopefully) and it can be had for much less with some negotiation.

ahhh yes i hear a very slight burble or something of that nature much less then any other exhaust i have ever had so i guess thats why i dont really notice it .... either way im happy and guys its just money it comes and goes i enjoy it while i have it

I really like the vid. It's the best comparison of an exhaust that I've ever seen. That said, the Dinan sounds a little raspy to me.

I'll try to do a very similar comparison when I put mine on.
