I rarely read these anymore, but if you want to view some "pimp-my-ride" cars and some hot young girls in skimpy outfits, you can get those import mags (import tuner, turbo ...etc). There are a few BMW magazines out there that might good to read.

For non-BMW specific reading I find the British publications leagues above the very best of american publications editorially and in their photos...like Evo magazine BUT they are pricey.
For a good cheap read, I quite enjoy mph magazine albeit its not a serious car magazine (I say witty)...thinking FHM meet Car&Driver.

Best car mags are the ones w/ no bulls*it journalism, such as Sports Car International, Bimmer, CAR(UK pub), Autocar, EVO, and all other brit/Euro car mags if you can read any of the european languages. Sport Auto is good if you can read German as well as Autobild.

I just subscribed to BMWCCA, so I should be getting my issue of Roundel soon, but I also have been subscribing to motor trend for about 10 years, and Eurotuner and European Car for about 4 yrs. Great magazines.

I'm subscribed to Road & Track and can't wait for the subscription to be over. In my opinion, they spend too much time talking about car races, than the actual cars that we can purchase. Plus their 0-60 numbers are total crap. I think I will subscribe to Car & Driver the next time around.

I only buy EVO now, and sometimes look at the pics/figures in AMS from Germany (local periodical specialist carries). Other German mags are boring as well. |
