PT-CAN Communication Fault
I haven't found much about these errors, but I have three of them related to the same thing. Each description lists as a PT-CAN Communication Fault.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? JBBF | C90B DME/DDE | CD87 DME/DDE | CD8F

Few mechanical issues, nothing major. Here's all the codes I pulled with ProTool
Edit: They didn't upload. Thanks moderators for never fixing this issue.

I suppose that you have the DSC error light on your car. Can you communicate with the SZL? I suggest that you use ISTA to diagnose your issues.

I have zero error lights, that's the weird thing. I can communicate with everything just fine, that's why I'm so puzzled by this

I'm NOT sure why the JBBF (JBE) code (C90B) is the only one that has any FF Data (mileage) listed (137347), and WHY it only shows ONE mileage for 5 instances of code saved. INPA would provide a LOT more information for each code including whether Fault is NOW Present. Working with what you have, I would suggest: 1) CLEAR all fault codes after saving any information you know how to access & save; 2) Monitor periodically to see what if any codes have returned, and if any return, save ALL codes, Definitions, Details & Freeze Frame Data/ mileage, and post here. Communication errors are often transient or intermittent "hiccups" which may cause multiple codes in different modules on the Bus, such as the DME & JBE/ JBBF in this case. Here are the pertinent TIS circuit diagram, Installation Location, and Connector View for P-T CAN bus, JBE Connector X14271 where the Bus connects to the JBE at pins #1 & #2 of that connector. I don't know of any elegant way of testing that bus with INPA or the like, but you could always try simply disconnecting the JBE Connector (X14271), and also the DME Connector, X60001, and cleaning the pins & sockets with Electronic Contact Cleaner, as well as examining for any sign of water ingress & correcting that if found. https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...-x8091/exUg7gs https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...lim/1VnYoJSPhH https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...i-lim/CTHz9Js2 Note that the Black & Blue Connectors (X14271 & X14272) are REVERSED L to R on later models with JBBF87 instead of your (?) JBBF70. Please let us know what you find, George |

I've cleared them a few times and they keep coming up, but I'll see about checking with INPA and ISTA. My mileage is 137xxx, I'll have to check in the morning.
