Diagnosing 29e1 code
Hi all,
I’ve been having this issue where the cel comes on after cruising for about 30-45 minutes with normal driving. The only code that pops up is 29e1 code, which is bank 2 fuel mixture control. I try clearing the code and it just comes back after a about 100 miles of driving. I’ve been Filling it with 93 octane at the same shell station for years. Car is running fine otherwise. Any idea what I should start looking at as the culprit first? I’m thinking fuel injectors but wanted your expert input before I threw parts at the car. Car is a stock 08 e92 335 with 87k miles. Fuel injectors have never been replaced. Recently replaced the vcg, ohfg in the last 15k miles. Car could use a walnut blast as it was last done 30k miles ago. Thanks in advance everyone! |

Clogged or leaky injectors usually result in significant changes in drivability i.e. misfires. Can you provoke any other codes with WOT runs? This could just as well be an aging O2 sensor. Or quite a few other things. Can you log? What other mods have you installed?
