Recline bench seat
Going back and forth between bench and captain for a m50 order and wondering how far the bench seat can recline back? Pretty sure the captain can recline far back. Thanks in advance!

Depending on the number of seats needed, I choose captains seats. They are I think more comfortable and many independent adjustments and positions including reclining. sample pic

Go with the bench for better utility/versatility. The captain's chairs are too close together to be a positive for accessing the 3rd row seats.

I carry too much stuff for work and need the seats folded down. With bench seats the cargo area would be a mess for me with things falling through where the chairs do not meet.
Plus if you end up with more than 4 people, even kids, someone is sitting in the third row. I'm coming out of a Q7, so for me, the bench was a must. |

Even bench seats recline. I've two kids and one more add on friend will have to go to third row. And bench seats fold flat compared to captain chairs for utility. X7 and GLS are not like other big SUV's or Minivans who have 3 seats in third row. It essentially becomes a 6 seater with captain chairs. It all depends on personal preference.

I remember when the 4L debuted it had Captain's chairs. They discontinued it for 2010+.
